David Stewart Cross[1] (19 December 1928 – 27 December 1989) was the 2nd Bishop of Doncaster who was later translated to Blackburn.
Educated at Trinity College, Dublin,[2] he was ordained in 1955. His first post was as a curate at Hexham. A noted broadcaster, he was Precentor of St Albans Cathedral[3] before his ordination to the episcopate.[4]
